Transport Relationship Manager (TRM)

Position:
Transport Relationship Manager (TRM)
Responsibilities:
Team Performance & KPI Management
- Manage and monitor the daily performance and KPI achievement of all allocated Assistant Transport Relationship Managers (ATRMs).
- Analyze transport reports and conduct internal training sessions to improve team performance and operational clarity.
Transport Operations & TAT Management
- Monitor vehicle Turn Around Times (TATs), ensuring timely receipt of vehicle details and on-time port arrivals.
- Provide practical SOP recommendations to improve vehicle wait times and unloading efficiency.
Transporter Relationship & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key and graded transporters.
- Resolve critical transporter complaints to strengthen trust and long-term partnerships.
Rate Negotiation & Transport Allocation
- Lead negotiations and finalize transport rates when ATRMs are unable to secure competitive bids.
- Drive the implementation of the fixed order system and ensure transporter allocation based on transporter grading.
Support deployment planning and post-implementation stabilization
Reporting, Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Analyze complex transport reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous process improvements by recommending operational best practices and ensuring compliance with transport procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Any Graduate with knowledge
- Experience: 2-7 years of experience in transport and traffic operations.
- Understanding of TAT standards, vehicle flow cycles, and transporter performance metrics.
- Skill in leading and monitoring ATRM performance against daily KPIs.
- Knowledge of transport pricing structures, rate negotiation logic, and market benchmarks.
